MEERQAT Directors Phil Cohen, Donna Cohen and Vitas Anderson recently attended the joint congress of the Australasian College of Health Service Management (ACHSM) and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in Sydney (27–29 Sept).
This was our first time at this conference and provided an excellent opportunity for us to exchange ideas with Australian and international thought leaders in the health and aged care sectors.
There was considerable interest in the MEERQAT exhibitor booth, particularly with issues of preventable patient/client harm and staff engagement in quality amongst the hot topics of discussion.
Donna’s presentation on Day 2 of the conference, which focussed on the use of the map-enabled experiential review (MEER) technique to increase staff engagement and reduce protocol variance, was well-attended. See the full presentation below.
